In April 2019, Regional Development Australia Mackay Isaac Whitsunday (RDAMIW) helped to secure funding for the development of the MIW Mining Equipment Technical Services (METS) Export Hub, alongside Greater Whitsunday Alliance, Mackay Regional Council, Trade and Investment Queensland and Resource Industry Network.
